During a major development event held in Gorakhpur on Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced and inaugurated development projects worth approximately ₹208 crore. The event took place in the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) area, where the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several projects aimed at boosting industrial growth and creating employment opportunities in the region. Gorakhpur MP and actor Ravi Kishan was also present at the event and received special praise from the Chief Minister.
Development Projects to Transform Eastern Uttar Pradesh
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government is committed to strengthening the industrial and economic landscape of eastern Uttar Pradesh. According to him, the newly launched projects in the GIDA area will not only attract investments but also generate employment opportunities for thousands of young people.
The projects include a Flatted Factory Complex, housing schemes for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Low-Income Groups (LIG), along with several other infrastructure initiatives. The Chief Minister emphasized that these developments would accelerate industrial activity and improve the quality of life for local residents.
Flatted Factory Complex to Boost MSME Growth
Highlighting the significance of the Flatted Factory Complex, Yogi Adityanath described it as a landmark initiative for industrial development in the state. He said that the modern facility would allow more than 100 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to operate within a single integrated complex.
The Chief Minister noted that the project could serve as a model for industrial development not only in Uttar Pradesh but across the country. The facility is expected to provide better infrastructure for entrepreneurs and enhance production capabilities.
Beneficiaries and Youth Receive Certificates
During the program, the Chief Minister distributed allotment letters to beneficiaries of various housing schemes. Industrial plot allottees were also handed the necessary documents.
In addition, students trained at the NIELIT Skill Center received certificates in recognition of their successful completion of skill development programs. Yogi Adityanath encouraged the youth to continue enhancing their technical skills, stating that skill development is a key pillar of self-reliance and economic growth.
CM Yogi Praises Ravi Kishan
One of the highlights of the event was the Chief Minister's appreciation of MP Ravi Kishan. Referring to his active participation in development initiatives and public welfare programs, Yogi Adityanath said that Ravi Kishan consistently remains engaged in activities that benefit the people of Gorakhpur.
In a light-hearted remark, the Chief Minister joked, “He may not show you his films for free, but he never misses an opportunity to be present at development programs and public events.”

Interesting Exchange About a Foot March
Sharing another anecdote, Yogi Adityanath revealed that Ravi Kishan had expressed his willingness to undertake a barefoot foot march even in the scorching summer heat if asked to do so.
Responding humorously, the Chief Minister said that it would be better to wait until the rains arrive before considering such an idea. The exchange drew smiles and laughter from those present at the event.
